Yenicizgi Layla
Yenicizgi Layla arrived to me in 2012 all the way from the U.K. She is the eighth generation down from the first Layla imported to the U.K. by Lois Miles in the 80's, who was the first introduction to the rest of the world of the solid White Turkish Van (Vankedisi) outside of Turkey, starting in the U.K. Yenicizgi Layla is contributing depth to VanCity's breeding program. Layla is also solid White and has odd-eyes.
Layla is one of the sweetest cats I have ever had. She has no guile, is not aggressive and gets along with all other cats. She truly does not understand why another cat would actually hiss at her. Although she would prefer not being picked up, she has nothing but loving head butts and licks for you if pay even the slightest bit of attention to her. When she does have to suffer the injustice of being picked up, she will cry and literally squeek until you put her down. When put down, she is right back at you with body slams, head butts and purrs. I thank Marianne Upham of Yenicizgi Turkish Vans for entrusting me with this lovely girl.

VanCity Karbeyaz
VanCity Karbeyaz, or Snowy, as she is called around here is my little bed time cuddle partner. Solid White with odd-eyes, she is the spitting mirror image as her father Gerçek. Mirror, because the colour of her odd-eyes are on the opposite side of her daddy's.
Snowy has a very sweet and sanguine personality - very easy going. She is subtly affectionate, not outwardly so, except when she is in bed with her mama, then her purring is bigger than she is. She is extremely laid back and meows and chirps to let me know when it is time to flip her on her back in my arms. She will then stretch completely out stick straight and wash her face while I rip her belly with raspberries. I could play a tune in her belly with chunky blows and she will just lay there until I am done, turning to look at me with a headbutt when I put her down. She sleeps under the covers at night, completely comatose and hogging the bed as much as she can, and I simply wouldn't have it any other way. I enjoy breathing her warm, sweet long haired kitty smell as much as possible. She spends her time in my lap when I am on my computer.

Halima Bisküvi of VanCity
Halima Bisküvi of VanCity is my Black and White Patterned girl with gold eyes. She has produced some lovely kittens - almost all of them Torties. She comes to me from Erica Tadajewski of Halima Turkish Vans in Michigan - Thank You Erica. Bisküvi is one of the most energetic cats I have ever had - think Jack Russell Terrier wrapped up in a cat and you will get an understanding of how Biski, as she is called around here, is. She is affectionate and is a bully to be on your lap, particularly if you are drinking coffee and have some whipped cream that she might be able to convince you to give her. Biski is quite the talker and will have full conversations with you if you allow her to. She can't hide if she gets into trouble because she will promptly reveal her location by telling on herself.
Biski boasts a nice thick coat, nice Type and shiny black accents with her tail and cap. VanCity is pleased to have her as a welcome addition.
